We are just reminding our customers of the planned nighttime water outage that will occur tonight, Tuesday, March 26, 2024 beginning at 11:00PM. This will affect customers in Pierre Part, Belle River and portions of St. Martin Parish.
The contractors have prepared the site in preparation for tonight's work; the demolition of the final components of the Bayou Valarie Booster Pump Station.
Please do not visit the construction site tonight, as the contractors will have enough on their hands trying to demo and restore your water service as quickly as possible. APWW will have representative(s) on-site.
The contractors stated that the outage will last no longer than 10 hours, but we are hopeful that it will not take that long. This water outage will occur at night to reduce the hardship on affected customers. All affected customers will be under a Precautionary Boil Water Advisory thereafter, until favorable LDH samples are received.
If you are without water service during this water outage, then you will fall under the Precautionary Boil Water Advisory.
This fourth notice is being sent the morning of the planned water outage. You all still have time to prepare!! You may want to fill your tub with water, fill water bottles, etc. for those of you who are up during the nighttime hours.
Please pass this information on to family and friends that you know or think will be affected.
