Assumption Parish Waterworks is pleased to announce it has received a preliminary grade of an 80/80 giving us an A on the grading scale from the Louisiana Department of Health for the year 2022.  In 2021 the Louisiana Legislature authorized LDH to develop a grading scale for community water system accountability.  The grades are based on 7 Standards evaluating Federal and State Water Quality, Financial Sustainability, Operation and Maintenance, Infrastructure, Customer Satisfaction and Secondary Contaminants.

Thanks to our hardworking and dedicated team of operators, distribution and office personnel as well as board members for making it possible for us to deliver safe quality drinking water to our customers.

Final Grades will be posted May 2, 2023 after LDH evaluates financial sustainability, customer satisfaction and possible bonus points.  The final grade will be included on our yearly Consumer Confidence Report.  More information about the Community Drinking Water Accountability Rule may be found at https://ldh.la.gov/page/4563
